Swing, Lindy Hop and jitterbug
Lindy Hop, also known as jitterbug, is an Afro-American dance that started in the black community in Harlem, New York, in the 1930's. Lindy Hop is danced to music of various tempos from blues to 'crazy'-fast with air-steps and acrobatics. Lindy Hop is well suited for social dancing as well as for shows with spectacular choreographies.
Lindy Hop is often danced to the music of the swing era but also to newer styles of jazz, rhythm & blues or neoswing.
